Romanias finest, Fanfare Ciocarlia, have written a new song that will most likely become a future anthem of Balkan brass music: Me Sem Rom - I'm a man. The brass instruments glow under the pressure of the melody, singer Canaf guides his voice, spiced with local brandy and pure joy safely through the stormy groove. And because the translation of ‘Me Sem Rom’ into English fits so well, the brotherhood of brass has also worked on a cover version of the 1967 classic by the Spencer Davis Group and leads the song "I'm a man" into a wild Balkan ska delirium. "Me Sem Rom / I'm a Man" to be released 6 September 2024 as a limited 7'' vinyl single (45 rpm) and as digital download.
